Number of coronavirus cases in Kyiv grows to 267 - Klitschko

The number of Kyiv residents infected with the coronavirus Covid-19 has grown to 267 people, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

"Over the past day, 22 Kyiv residents have contracted the coronavirus. As of today, the capital has 267 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases,” he said at a briefing on April 6.

Among the new infected people are five women aged between 29 to 71 years and 16 men aged between 24 to 82 years, including two health care workers.

 “An 8-year-old boy has also become sick. Four cases have been registered at Kyiv Pechersk Lavra," Klitschko said.

According to Klitschko, nine Kyiv residents have been hospitalized; other 13 are in self-isolation at home.

As reported, as of 09:00, April 6, Ukraine had 1,319 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases.
