Ukrainian contracts coronavirus in Netherlands - ambassador

A Ukrainian citizen has contracted coronavirus in the Netherlands, Ukrainian Ambassador to the Netherlands Vsevolod Chentsov has said in an interview with Ukrinform.

"A citizen of Ukraine, her husband, a Dutch citizen, and their child have contracted coronavirus. They are in isolation at home and are undergoing special treatment. The embassy is in touch with them, and the health of this family is improving," Chentsov said.

Restrictive measures were extended in the Netherlands until April 28 to counteract the spread of coronavirus.

Initially, it was decided to close schools, kindergartens, bars, restaurants, and sports clubs until April 6.

All activities involving a large number of people were banned in the Netherlands until June 1. This also applies to events involving less than a hundred people. People were urged not to approach each other closer than 1.5 meters. A fine of EUR 400 is imposed for the violation.
