Health Ministry denies reports about prohibition for private clinics to treat patients with ARVI

The Health Ministry has denied reports about the alleged ministry’s order banning private clinics to provide aid to patients with symptoms of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).

The relevant statement has been posted on the Health Ministry’s website.

"There have been reports about the alleged order by the Health Ministry of Ukraine to ban the treatment of patients with ARVI symptoms in private clinics. We state that this information is untrue and manipulative," reads the statement.

In this regard, the Health Ministry has called on all private hospitals and clinics to provide the highest quality of service to all patients applying to them for treatment and refrain from panic.

According to the online map from the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, as of March 13, 128, 392 people worldwide contracted the novel coronavirus, 68, 607 recovered, and 4,728 died.

Three coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Ukraine: two in Chernivtsi region and one in Zhytomyr region.
