Two more coronavirus cases confirmed in Ukraine

Two new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine.

"Two new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Ukraine – an elderly woman in Zhytomyr region and a man in Chernivtsi region, whose wife stayed in Italy over the past 14 days," reads the publication on Ukraine’s Health Ministry Telegram channel Coronavirus_info.

The patients were isolated, they are provided with symptomatic treatment.

Earlier in Ukraine, one case of Covid-19 coronavirus was recorded in Chernivtsi city. Currently, the patient's condition is satisfactory.

As of March 13, 134, 829 coronavirus cases were confirmed in 127 countries and territories around the world and 1 international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harbored in Yokohama, Japan). 70,395 patients recovered; 4,984 patients died.

On March 11, Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers approved a plan to fight the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus infection in the country, which envisages a three-week nationwide quarantine in educational institutions and a ban on the holding of mass events.

The head of the World Health Organization officially characterized the coronavirus outbreak as a pandemic.
