Large service hub for citizens to be opened at Chonhar checkpoint – Zelensky

A large service hub for citizens will be opened at the Chonhar checkpoint on Ukraine's administrative border with Russia-occupied Crimea by the end of 2020.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this at the Age of Crimea forum dedicated to the Day of Crimea's Resistance to Russian Occupation, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The Government, in cooperation with SOCAR, will open a large service hub for citizens at the Chonhar checkpoint by the end of the year. There will be a full-fledged center for providing administrative services, a recreation area and other important facilities," Zelensky said.

The president recalled that an agreement was reached with Turkey on the joint construction of 500 apartments for internally displaced persons from Crimea. "In the coming days, representatives of the Turkish side will come to Ukraine to select sites for construction," Zelensky emphasized.

Day of Crimea's resistance to Russian occupation is marked annually on February 26.
