Kholodnytsky expects probe into Hladkovsky, Dubnevych cases to be completed in March-April

The investigation into the cases of former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleh Hladkovsky and MP Yaroslav Dubnevych is to be completed in March-April, Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Kholodnytsky has said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

"I think we have to complete these proceedings in March-April. The time for the investigation has not yet expired, but if the cases with suspects have been investigated for more than six months, then a logical question arises: what then did you do earlier if you are still not ready?" Kholodnytsky said.

Hladkovsky is suspected of abuse of power during procurement under the state defense order. He was detained in October 2019. He was later taken into custody with an alternative to post bail exceeding UAH 10 million.

Dubnevych is accused of legalization with his brother of UAH 2 billion and false declaration of income. On February 20, Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court extended the obligation for Dubnevych until April 5 to arrive at the request of the detective, prosecutor and court, to report the change of residence or place of work, as well as to refrain from communicating with witnesses and to hand in his international passport.
