In 2019, about two million foreigners chose the capital of Ukraine as a tourist destination.

The average duration of their stay in the Ukrainian capital was 2.2 days. In total, the city received UAH 63.3 million in tourist tax in 2019. These revenues increased by 31 million compared to 2018," the press service of the Kyiv City Council informs.

According to Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on Culture Viktoria Mukha, tourism in the capital is actively developing as evidenced by the increase in the number of tourists visiting Kyiv and the city budget revenues.

During 2019, the capital hosted a series of large-scale tourist attractions: Moto Open Fest, Kyiv Food & Wine Festival, Courage Bazaar, Atlas Weekend, Kyiv Art Week and more.

"Of course, Kyiv is committed to promoting itself. To this end, advertising of the tourism opportunities of the capital is provided on the Internet resources of Ryanair airlines, in the international airports of Ukraine, in the Kyiv - Boryspil - Kyiv train. The Kyiv City Guide mobile app is also available on PlayMarket and AppStore," Mukha added.

The Office of Tourism and Promotion took part in nine international exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad in order to promote Kyiv's tourism opportunities.
