House of Europe: EU allocates 12 mln to Ukraine for culture and education

The EU has allocated €12.2 million for the implementation of the House of Europe project, within which Ukrainians will be able to apply for 20 grant programs.

“House of Europe launched a website yesterday that offers information about the opportunities that our program and other programs provide. We are constantly expanding our database with such information. We will also have a separate office which one will be able to visit and find out how their idea can be implemented. We work with programs in six sectors: culture and creative industries, education, media, social entrepreneurship, medicine and youth activities. We have a budget of €12.2 million for this, which was provided by the EU Delegation to Ukraine,” House of Europe team lead Christian Diemer said during the presentation of the program on October 17, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He added that the program covered internships, study tours, participation in symposia that are needed to implement ideas or projects in these areas. According to Diemer, European artists are also going to visit Ukraine within the framework of the project to exchange experience and better understand our country.
