PM Groysman instructs to solve problem of drinking water in Donbas

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has instructed to take urgent measures to provide drinking water to residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

He said this following the results of an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Ecological Safety and Emergencies on Friday, June 14, the Government portal reported.

"According to the order signed by the head of government, it is necessary to resume and ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to water supply and drainage facilities of the "Voda Donbasa" company and grant the enterprise the status of "protected consumer". At the same time, it is necessary to make an inventory of reserve sources of water supply," reads the statement.

As noted, water supply will be provided during the period of lack of centralized water supply.
