Over 1,600 police officers to be selected to work in local communities - Groysman

As part of the “Community Police Officer” project, 1,624 police officers will be selected in 2019-2020 to work in united territories communities.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman wrote this on Twitter.

"Our goal is to turn the old law enforcement system into a service of the European standard. In 2019-2020, it is planned to select 1,624 police officers for communities," said Groysman.

He added that the “Community Police Officer” project is a joint project of united territorial communities and the National Police.

"Our goal is that every united territorial community can have a police officer who will be always ready to help the community," the Prime Minister wrote.

As reported, the Interior Ministry has launched the “Community Police Officer” project that is aimed at ensuring security outside large cities.
