Ambassador discusses enhancing cooperation in teaching Ukrainian students in Korea

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Korea Oleksandr Horin recently visited one of the largest and most advanced scientific centers of the Republic of Korea - the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).

During the visit, the ambassador met with KIST President Dr. Lee Byung Gwon and a group of Ukrainian students, the press service of the Ukrainian Embassy in Korea said in a press release.

"The parties discussed possible ways of cooperation following the provisions of 2019 Memorandum between KIST and the Ministry of Education of Science of Ukraine singed on February 26. The possibility of enhancing cooperation in teaching Ukrainian students was discussed," the report reads.

The ambassador got acquainted with the scientific base, leading developments and achievements of KIST.

To date, 15 students from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv graduated from KIST School, 20 students enrolled (5 for Ph.D., 11 for Masters and 4 for Interns).

KIST was established in 1966 to develop and promote Korean science and technology.
