Ukrainian diplomats express support for France over Notre Dame fire

Ukrainian diplomats have expressed sympathy for the people of France in connection with the fire that broke out through large sections of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on Monday evening.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin posted the relevant message on Twitter.

“The cathedral is a symbol of France and our European culture. We are wholeheartedly with our Parisian friends,” he wrote.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine Isabelle Dumont thanked for the support.

“The fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the pearl of European spirituality and culture. A part of each of us is in this fire. Our thoughts are with France,” wrote Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to France Oleh Shamshur.
