Ukraine climbs five spots in world happiness ranking

Ukraine took the 133rd place in the latest World Happiness Report, climbing five spots from the last year 138th position.

The World Happiness Report 2019 was released by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations on March 20.

This year Finland again took the first place. It is followed by Denmark and Norway.

Iceland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia were also placed in the top 10.

Among the Ukrainian neighbors, Russia was ranked the 68th, Moldova - 71st, Belarus - 81st, Georgia - 119th.

The World Happiness Report 2019, released by the United Nations, ranks 156 countries of the world based on such factors as well-being including gross domestic product (GDP), life expectancy, generosity, social support, freedom and corruption.
