MARUV to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2019

Ukrainian singer MARUV has won the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, an Ukrinform correspondent said.

According to the results of voting of spectators and the jury in the second semifinal of the national election that took place late on February 23, MARUV received the highest score (six points from spectators and five points from the jury). In total, 167,500 spectators voted for six finalists of the national election, among them MARUV, Brunettes Shoot Blondes, YUKO, Freedom jazz, ANNA MARIA, and KAZKA.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held in Tel Aviv. The slogan of the competition is "Dare To Dream." Artists from 42 countries will take part in the competition. The participant who will represent Ukraine this year will perform in the first Eurovision semifinal on May 14. The second semifinal will take place on May 16 and the final of the competition on May 18.
