The program of reforming the vocational education for Ukraine is being prepared as the country needs the highly skilled professional and technical personnel.

"We currently prepare a program of reforming the vocational education for the entire Ukraine," Head of the Support Group for Ukraine in the European Commission Peter Wagner said at a briefing in Mariupol on January 29.

Hromadske TV Donbas published the video of the briefing on Facebook.

He noted that Ukraine should improve the vocational education, as there is a need for highly skilled professional and technical personnel. "It's not just about training young people, but also about older people, who already worked and were employed in the industrial sector and lost their jobs. Now they need to be re-qualified," Wagner added.

According to him, this program will be part of the responsibility of the Ukrainian state, the Ukrainian government, in order to create new establishments of vocational education throughout Ukraine.
