Christmas tree in Zhytomyr decorated with blue and yellow paper boats

The main Christmas tree in the Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr has been decorated with blue and yellow paper boats made by children in support of Ukrainian sailors captured by Russia, the press service of the Zhytomyr Regional State Administration has reported.

"Blue and yellow paper boats, which were made by the children of fighters from Zhytomyr region in support of Ukrainian sailors, adorn the main Christmas tree of Zhytomyr," the report says.

A flash mob titled "A Blue and Yellow Ship on a Christmas Tree" lasts until January 7 on the initiative of the Patriots of Ukraine Worldwide Movement in support of and with the demand for the release of Ukrainian sailors captured by Russian military.

On November 25, Russian warships seized Ukrainian boats Berdiansk and Nikopol and the Yany Kapu tug boat near the Kerch Strait and captured 24 Ukrainian sailors.
