Information Policy Ministry continues to implement information security doctrine

The Information Policy Ministry in 2019 intends to further implement the information security doctrine, to counter misinformation, improve the public administration process in conveying information to the general population and work on information reintegration of the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Deputy Information Policy Minister Dmytro Zolotukhin told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“Our priorities will not change. First of all, this is a plan for implementing the information security doctrine, this is our main document. Also, the top-priority issues include improving the strategic communications system, the crisis communications system, which is very important at the moment, as well as improving the public administration process in the area of conveying information to the general population. Also, we will counteract the spread of misinformation, study, monitor and take decisions on responding or not responding to a fake,” Zolotukhin stressed.

Among other priority tasks of the ministry for the next year is the informational reintegration of the occupied territories, starting with restoring broadcasting and ending with an analysis of the situation in the region so that to help convey the necessary content, the deputy minister added.
