Most citizens believe Ukraine needs economic reforms – poll

Most Ukrainian citizens believe that the country needs economic reforms the most, according to a new poll.

The findings of the survey "Monitoring Electoral Sentiment of Ukrainians" were represented by Deputy Director of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology Anton Hrushetskyi at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We asked the respondents which reforms, in their view, are the priority ones. The majority of those polled, 63% say that economic reforms are the most important. Some 43% of the respondents say about social reforms and 37% about anti-corruption reforms," he said.

According to him, 16% of the respondents said about political reforms and each tenth respondent said about humanitarian and security reforms.

The survey was conducted by experts of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, the Ukrainian Centre for Economic and Political Studies named after Razumkov and the Rating Sociological Group from October 19 to November 2, 2018. A total of 10,000 respondents were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine (apart from the annexed territory of Crimea and occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions). The poll's margin of error does not exceed 1.0%.
