Nearly 200,000 Ukrainian tourists have visited Georgia this year

39,904 Ukrainian tourists visited Georgian Adjara, while 141,180 travelers visited other regions of Georgia in the first nine months of 2018.

“Ukraine traditionally remains one of the countries from where most tourists come to Georgia. Ukraine ranks 7th in terms of international visitors, and number of Ukrainian tourists has grown by 3.2% this year,” Jemal Gogitadze, the senior adviser to the Georgian ambassador to Ukraine, told Ukrainian journalists.

When asked what Ukraine could learn from Georgian experience in development of tourism industry, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Gela Dumbadze replied:

"Over the past few years I have been lucky to get acquainted with almost entire Ukraine. You have a huge unused potential for tourism. You only need to present the strengths of Ukraine through modern promotion methods to attract more tourists from other countries. I wish more videos, promos and films were filmed about Ukraine filmed and more international festivals were held here the way Georgia has been doing in recent years. We are always ready to share our experience with Ukraine."
