Two checkpoints to be built on administrative border with occupied Crimea

Two checkpoints will be built on the administrative border with occupied Crimea by the end of the year.

Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lavreniuk said in a commentary to Ukrinform.

"We will build two checkpoints from the scratch. Those checkpoints we have, unfortunately, do not meet the conditions and the realities the present day requires," Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Yuri Lavreniuk said in a commentary to Ukrinform.

We intend to make temporary facilities, high-quality service areas, the representative of the Infrastructure Ministry emphasized.

"The funds have already been allocated by the government decree. UAH 105 million is allocated from the reserve fund of the budget for construction of two checkpoints, while UAH 2 million more is provided by the Infrastructure Ministry for the design documentation," he added.

The construction works are expected to be completed at the end of November.
