"On September 15, 2018, the international action “Light a candle of remembrance” dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Holodomor – the genocide of Ukrainian people of 1932-33 – took place in Singapore," the Embassy of Ukraine in Singapore posted on Facebook.

In particular, Ambassador of Ukraine to Singapore Dmytro Senik urged not to forget about the terrible tragedy of Ukrainian people, which had claimed the lives of millions of Ukrainians as a result of Stalin’s repressions.

The exhibition "Facts about the Holodomor of 1932-33 in Ukraine" was also held at the embassy's premises.

The Ukrainian community and diplomats attended the event to commemorate the victims of the Holodomor.

On September 1, 85 days before the Holodomor remembrance day, Ukraine and the world began to honor the victims who died during the genocide of 1932-1933.
