Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago invites to photo exhibit ‘Overcoming Crisis’
On August 3, the visual art project "Ukraine: Overcoming Crisis" will open at the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago.
"The project is dedicated to Ukraine as it threads its way through complicated challenges, overcoming the temporary occupation of its territories in the - East and the hybrid warfare waged against its people. This journey of tiding over the difficulties is a strong push for Ukraine’s rebirth. Manifestations of solidarity and commitment to civil society, the restoration of infrastructure, sports victories and the development of creative youth, cultural heritage and the embodiment of childhood dreams give a powerful impetus to the revival of the modern European nation," the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago posted on Facebook.
The project is devoted to the present-day difficulties experienced by Ukraine, including the war which Russia wages in Donbas and the occupation of Crimea.
The visual art exhibit consists of 55 photographs authored by Ukrainian and foreign photojournalists.
The project authors: “Ukrinform” Ukrainian National News Agency, Davyd Tesinsky, Pavel Volberg, Volodymyr Kharchenko, Dmytro Kholod, Halyna Lavrinets, Liudmyla Matsiuk, Oleksandr Syrota, Denys Kopylov, Yuri Velychko.
The photo exhibit will open on Friday, August 3 at 7:00 pm, at the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago, IL. It will last until August 28, 2018.
The organizers of the photo exhibit are the Ukrainian Institute of Public Diplomacy, the Ukrainian National Museum in Chicago and the Consulate General of Ukraine in Chicago.
