Six Ukrainian universities among world’s top 1,000 universities

Six Ukrainian universities made it to the list of the top 1,000 universities in the world, according to the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings.

In particular, in the list of 500 best universities in the world are V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, which was placed in the 411-420 performance rank, and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – the 411-420 performance rank.

Also, the National Technical University ‘Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’ was placed in the 501-550 rank, and the National Technical University ‘Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute’ – the 701-750 rank.

Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University and Sumy State University was ranked in the 801-1,000 group.

The top five universities in the list are the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (first place), Stanford University (second place), Harvard University (third place), California Institute of Technology (fourth place), and University of Cambridge (fifth place).
