Court arrests apartment, two cars of RIA Novosti Ukraine chief Vyshinsky

The Kherson City Court has arrested property of the chief of the RIA Novosti Ukraine news agency, Kirill Vyshinsky, a suspect in high treason.

This is evidenced by a court ruling published in the single register of judicial decisions.

In particular, the arrest was imposed on Vyshinsky's apartment, two foreign cars and boatshed.

As reported, SBU employees, jointly with the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, exposed the activities of the network of Russian-controlled media entities and conducted investigatory actions in the office of RIA Novosti Ukraine in Kyiv, and its head, Kirill Vyshinsky, was detained on May 15. On the same day, he was declared a suspect in high treason. On May 17, the Kherson City Court arrested him for two months.

On July 11, the court extended Vyshinsky's arrest until September 13.

Vyshinsky is seen as a possible contender for the exchange for Ukrinform journalist Roman Sushchenko, who was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony for alleged espionage.
