Ukrainian sailors from Gulf Pearl ship return to Ukraine - Foreign Ministry

The debt to four Ukrainian crewmembers of the Gulf Pearl ship has been paid and they have returned to Ukraine, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported on Twitter.

"An epic on the repayment of debt to four Ukrainian crewmembers of the Gulf Pearl is over. The coordinated actions of the consul helped ensure the payment of salaries to Ukrainian sailors and their return to Ukraine," the report reads.

Earlier it was reported that the Gulf Pearl, a ship flying the flag of Equatorial Guinea, with six Ukrainian sailors on board, stayed near the Emirate of Sharjah (the UAE).

The crewmembers stated that their documents had been withdrawn and salaries had not been paid since February 2018.
