Film about war in Donbas wins prize at Melbourne Documentary Film Festival

The documentary film War Mothers by a young Australian filmmaker of Ukrainian origin, Stefan Bugryn, about the conflict in eastern Ukraine won the prestigious prize at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival – one of the world’s most famous documentary film festivals.

“Congratulations to Stefan Bugryn for winning the prestigious Special Jury Prize at the Melbourne Doc Fest, for his film War Mothers,” the Australian Federation of Ukrainian organizations posted this on its Facebook page.

The documentary film tells the story of three women whose sons were killed in the war in Donbas.
