Russian comedian refused entry to Ukraine for three years

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has refused entry to Ukraine for three years to Russian comedian Danila Poperechny, who had to give a concert in Kyiv on May 18, the SBU's press service has told an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The SBU has banned Poperechny from entering [Ukraine] for three years from April 12, 2018," the SBU's press center said.

In general, during 2017-2018, 117 artists and other public figures from Russia who violated Ukrainian legislation on visiting the temporarily occupied Crimea were refused entry to Ukraine. On May 14, Svetlana Surganova (Surganova and Orchestra) was banned from entering Ukraine due to her visits to Russian-occupied Crimea.
