Groysman: 8 mln Ukrainians received medicines under reimbursement program over past year

Eight million Ukrainians have received medicines for free or at the lowest price under the Affordable Medicine reimbursement program since April 2017.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman wrote this on his Facebook page.

“The Affordable Medicine program: eight million patients have received drugs for free or with a small surcharge,” Groysman noted.

According to him, every third pharmacy in the country joined the program.

"UAH 1 billion was allocated for the program in 2018,” he added.

Earlier, Groysman stressed that due to the Affordable Medicine program and the creation of a network of cardiology centers in the regions of Ukraine, a 20% reduction in death rates from cardiovascular diseases, in particular heart attacks, was recorded in the country.
