Over 400 people missing in Donbas - Gerashchenko

More than 400 people are currently considered missing in Donbas, and there is a problem with the search for such persons, First Deputy Chairwoman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko, who also serves as the Ukrainian president's authorized representative for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, has said.

She said this at a meeting with Deputy Director for the German Marshall Fund's Transatlantic Leadership Initiatives Filip Medic, Executive Director of NextOp NGO John Boerstler, and founder and the chairwoman of the Legal Hundred NGO Lesia Vasylenko, the parliament's press service reported.

"She noted that there is currently a problem with the search for missing people, but this issue remains unchanged. According to her, now more than 400 people are considered to be missing," the statement reads.

The report notes that during the meeting Gerashchenko reported on systematic ceasefire violations by representatives of occupied Donbas.
