Almost 47% of Ukrainian children trust police

The level of trust of Ukrainian children and adolescents towards the Ukrainian police reaches almost 47 percent.

Such data was obtained as a result of the interactive youth survey conducted within the U-report system, the press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine reports.

"The study results show that 46.8 percent of more than 3,200 children under 17 would call the police in case of any threat because they believe that the police can help and protect them," reads the statement.

At the same time, the trust indicator shows that children seek protection primarily from their parents and then from the police when they face some sort of criminal offense.

This project is being implemented by the UNICEF Ukraine in partnership with the Youth and Sports Ministry of Ukraine.
