Government allocates UAH 1 bln in subventions for New Ukrainian School reform

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution on transferring subventions from the state budget to local budgets to implement the New Ukrainian School reform.

The relevant decision was approved at a government meeting on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We will allocate UAH 1 billion to provide Ukrainian children in grades 1-4 with new equipment and high-quality education," Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said.

He also stressed that the education reform will be systemic. The government has already raised salaries for teachers, new kindergartens are being built and new approaches are being introduced so that children can have access to modern technologies, Groysman said.
