Sixty schools built in Ukraine over three years

In 2014-2017, about 60 new general educational institutions were built in Ukraine.

This is reported on the website of the Ukrainian government’s initiative "Decentralization of Authority."

"About 60 new general educational institutions (schools) were built in Ukraine in 2014-2017. According to the State Architectural Inspectorate of Ukraine, the largest number of such new buildings (25 schools) was built in 2017. For comparison, only nine schools were built in 2012 and nine more were constructed in 2013," reads the report.

The Regional Development Ministry of Ukraine explains the significant growth in construction of schools with the growth of state financial support for the development of territorial communities and the development of their infrastructure as well as with the growth of local budgets’ revenues.
