President arrives in Donbas to meet freed Ukrainian hostages - press secretary

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has arrived in Donbas to meet Ukrainian hostages freed from the captivity of militants, his press secretary, Svyatoslav Tsegolko, has reported on Facebook. 

"Petro Poroshenko is already in Donbas, where he meets our guys from captivity," he wrote.

Militants have currently handed over to the Ukrainian side the first 16 hostages as part of the exchange of prisoners under the formula "306 for 74."

Poroshenko congratulated the first Ukrainians released from the captivity of the "LPR/DPR" and is overseeing the entire exchange process.
