President, Prime Minister congratulate Ukrainian diplomats on professional holiday

President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Ukrainian diplomats on the professional holiday - Day of the Employees of the Diplomatic Service.

In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote: "Ukrainian diplomats now defend the interests of our state in the international arena. Due to their efforts, the world community supports Ukraine's desire to strengthen democratic values and freedoms in our state and helps us to resist Russian aggression”.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman also congratulated Ukrainian diplomats on Twitter.

"Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the diplomatic service in Ukraine, it has been possible to form a solid coalition of the democratic countries of the world," Groysman stressed.

The prime minister wished Ukrainian diplomats good health and professional development.

The Ukrainian diplomatic service marks the 100th anniversary today.

According to the president’s decree as of November 21, 2005, the professional holiday of Ukrainian diplomats – the Day of the Employees of the Diplomatic Service - was established and annually marked on December 22.
