PGO summons Saakashvili for questioning

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has summoned the leader of the Movement of New Forces Party, Mikheil Saakashvili, for questioning on December 18 as a suspect in a criminal proceeding.

The relevant notice was posted on the PGO's website on Tuesday.

"Mikheil Nikolozovich Saakashvili, born on December 21, 1967, Kyiv, 7 Kostiolna Street, apartment No. 32, in accordance with the requirements of Articles 133, 135 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, you need to appear on December 18, 2017 at 09.30 at the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine at the address: Kyiv, 13/15 Riznytska Street, room No. 1106B," reads the statement.

The document states that prosecutor Dombrovsky intends to question Saakashvili as a suspect in criminal proceeding No. 42017000000004873 dated December 4, 2017, on the grounds of criminal offenses envisaged by Part 1, Article 15, Part 3, Article 28, Part 2, Article 256, Part 3, Article 28, Part 4, Article 110-2, Part 1, Article 15, Part 3, Article 28, Part 4, Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Ukrinform is trying to find out whether Saakashvili plans to appear for this questioning.
