NABU agents summoned to PGO for questioning

Undercover agents of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) have been called in for questioning to the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), PGO spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.

"NABU agents Kateryna Sikorska and Serhiy Tytenkov, who appear in criminal proceedings on provoking a bribe to an employee of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, have been invited to the Prosecutor General's Office for questioning," he said.

Lysenko said that during the interrogation, investigators are going to find out how the agents were appointed to their posts outside an open competition and whether they have access to state secrets, since documents classified as "secret" were found during the search of their homes.

Investigators are also interested in the legality of using special equipment, which is not registered with the Security Service of Ukraine. The PGO wants to know whether operations by NABU agents on provoking a bribe to First Deputy Chairwoman of the State Migration Service Dina Pimakhova were legal.

"It is interesting why these NABU agents did not submit their income declarations, which is a mandatory procedure for them," Lysenko said.
