Monument to Lesya Ukrainka unveiled in Georgia

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has unveiled a monument to prominent Ukrainian female poet Lesya Ukrainka in the city of Telavi (Kakheti region) during his visit to Georgia.

“November 28, 2017, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman unveiled a monument to prominent Ukrainian female poet Lesya Ukrainka in the city of Telavi, Kakheti region within the framework of his visit to Georgia. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Minister of Culture and Monument Protections of Georgia, Governor of the Kakheti Region and Mayor of Telavi city. Lesya Ukrainka lived in Telavi in 1909-1910 and created there such works as The Stone Master and Rufin and Priscilla,” the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia reports.
