Constitutional Court head not elected

The election of the head of the Constitutional Court, which was scheduled for November 2, has not taken place, reads a statement posted on the court website.

At the same time, court spokesperson Natalia Mukha told Ukrinform that acting court head Viktor Kryvenko had appointed a meeting to elect the court chairman, but it had not been held. "There was no plenary meeting. Judges did not vote," she said.

On November 1, the Constitutional Court could not approve the new rules of procedure.

Viktor Kryvenko, the oldest judge, has fulfilled the duties of the head of the Constitutional Court since June 3, 2017.
