Petition asking Poroshenko to deport Saakashvili registered on president's website

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has been asked to deport former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili to his homeland because of "systematic violation of the laws of Ukraine, the illegal crossing of the border, and incitement of hatred among Ukrainians."

The text of a respective petition has been posted on the website of the head of state.

"I am appealing to the president with the request to deport Saakashvili to his homeland in Georgia for the systematic violation of the laws of Ukraine, the illegal crossing of the border, the incitement of hatred between Ukrainians and appeals outside the Verkhovna Rada for the resignation of the lawfully elected president of Ukraine," the author of the petition, Svitlana Yuryk, said.

The petition was made public on October 20. It has currently collected over 2,500 signatures out of the 25,000 required for its consideration by the president. The collection of signatures will last 90 days.
