Schools with instruction in language of national minorities will not be closed – education minister

Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych says that none of the schools with instruction in the language of national minorities will be closed.

She said this at a round table meeting in Chernivtsi, the press service of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration reported.

"After studying minority languages at schools, children should learn the state language, which will give them the opportunity to have full social integration and realization in their country," Hrynevych emphasized.

According to her, children will study in Romanian from the 1st to the 11th grade. But some subjects in high school will be in Ukrainian.

The roundtable participants also discussed the formation of a uniform teaching methodology for children, which should be used in such schools.
