President Poroshenko: UAH 5 billion to be allocated for rural medicine

About UAH 5 billion will be allocated to increase the quality of medical care in rural areas.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during the meeting with staff of the Chernihiv regional hospital, the press service of the Head of State reports.

"The President stated he had initiated elaboration and already introduced the draft law on improving the accessibility and quality of medical care in rural areas as an urgent one. As he said, about UAH 5 billion will be allocated to increase the quality of medical care in rural areas," the statement reads.

The Head of State also noted the importance of development of telemedicine health care services, which will help to significantly improve the efficiency of medical care.
