Danish model and photographer Helena Christensen helps raise money for the elderly Ukrainians who have lost their homes due to the war in Donbas.

"Well-known Danish supermodel and photographer Helena Christensen, who has 234,000 followers in Instagram, has posted a link to a fundraising campaign for construction of a nursing home for the elderly in Ukraine. The campaign organizers are trying to help the elderly who have lost their homes as a result of the war in eastern Ukraine," the Voice of America reports.

In March 2017, the model visited Ukraine within the framework of her cooperation with the United Nations Refugee Agency and met with the internally displaced people. She also met with volunteer Oleh Horbachev, who risked his own life to evacuate seniors from Alchevsk in Donbas. Now Helena Christensen helps raise money for these people.

More than $27,000 has already been raised for the first installment for construction of a nursing home for the internally displaced elderly people.
