More than a hundred schools reconstructed in Kharkiv region this year – Poroshenko

This year, over a hundred schools have been reconstructed in Kharkiv region.

Ukrianian President Petro Poroshenko said this on Friday during the opening of a new school in the village of Pisochyn in Kharkiv region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"For many years no schools or kindergartens were opened in Kharkiv region, as well as in whole Ukraine. But only this year two new schools were built from scratch, and more than a hundred schools were reconstructed in the region," Poroshenko said.

He added that this happened in the conditions of Russian aggression in the east of Ukraine.

"Finally, the state and the authorities have demonstrated that the war is not an obstacle for carrying out reforms," the President stressed.
