German Scooter band arrives in occupied Crimea to perform at local festival

German Scooter band has arrived in the occupied Crimea where musicians are going to perform at the local Zolotaya Balka festival.

This has been posted on the Facebook page of the Simferopol International Airport.

As reported, the musicians are going to perform at the Zolotaya Balka festival which will be held in the Balaklava valley on August 4.

Earlier, European MEP from Germany Rebecca Harms slammed the intention of the Scooter band to perform in the annexed Crimea. According to her, the musicians "take a side with Putin" by going to Crimea.

In turn, Scooter frontman H.P. Baxxter told Bild newspaper that the band flies to Crimea to meet with their fans, not to "engage in politics".

Pursuant to the Ukrainian legislation, foreign citizens shall enter Crimea only through the Ukraine-controlled checkpoints on the administrative border. However, German musicians flew to Crimea from Moscow.
