New building of Okhmatdet children's hospital to be put in operation by December – PM Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says that construction of a new diagnostic and treatment unit of the Okhmatdet National Children's Specialized Hospital will be completed by December 2017.

The PM said this, having inspected the pace of construction of the new building, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A year ago at this site, I and my colleagues said that we resumed construction and the works would be finished by the middle of the summer. In fact, today it is possible to say that the construction is being completed, although I would like this facility to be put in operation completely this summer. However, there were a lot of technical difficulties and confrontations, we were constantly prevented at any stage from continuing our work, but we did it. I think that a year ago, when we were at this place, journalists thought it was just another promise. So, I want to emphasize once again that we do not give unachievable promises," Groysman said.

He expressed confidence that the unit would be commissioned in November or December this year.

The Prime Minister is convinced that Ukraine will have the most modern clinic, where the small Ukrainians will receive highly qualified medical care.
