Ukrainian film industry could become self-sufficient in five years – Illenko

Ukrainian film industry is developing quite successfully now and will be able to reach a self-sufficient level in five years if being granted the state support.

Chairman of the State Film Agency of Ukraine Pylyp Illenko said this during a press conference at the Ukrinform news agency.

"If the Ukrainian film industry continues enjoying the state support during the next five years at least, it will reach a self-sufficient level," he said.

In general, according to Illenko, almost fifty full length feature movies are being shot now with the support of the State Film Agency. "A total of 90 projects are now at different stages of production," Pylyp Illenko noted.
