Vice PM Rozenko: About 1.9 million citizens officially unemployed in Ukraine

The number of the registered unemployed in Ukraine totals about 1.9 million, according to the latest data.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko stated this on ZIK TV Channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“As of today… the number of unemployed is about 1.9 million Ukrainians,” Rozenko said.

According to the vice prime minister, 400,000 Ukrainian citizens have been registered at the employment centers and so they have the right to receive unemployment benefits.

Rozenko also noted that out of about 18 million able-bodied Ukrainians, about 11 million pay insurance contributions to the Pension Fund.
