Ukraine switches to summer time on March 26

Ukraine on March 26 (the night from Saturday to Sunday) will move to summer time by putting the clock one hour forward.

This has been reported by the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry.

“According to the resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers as of May 13, 1996, No.509, ‘On the procedure for calculating time in the territory of Ukraine,” summer time will be introduced in the territory of Ukraine on March 26 at 3 a.m. by putting the clock one hour forward,” reads a report.

In 2011, the Verkhovna Rada issued a resolution to cancel the switching to winter time, but following public debates it wasn’t approved.
