Universities of Ukraine, Poland may introduce dual diplomas

Poland and Ukraine will prepare an agreement on deepening cooperation in the field of higher education and science. In particular, the agreement may help to enhance cooperation in academic integrity and inter-university mobility.

This was discussed during the meeting of Education and Science Minister of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych and Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Research and Higher Education of Poland Jaroslaw Gowin, Government portal reports.

"According to Jaroslaw Gowin, this agreement should be prepared and signed at the ministerial level during his visit to Kyiv in December 2016," the statement reads.

In addition, the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Research and Higher Education of Poland pointed out that the countries planned to create a common Internet platform for the universities to deepen bilateral partnership.

"Today we discussed the dual diploma program between Polish and Ukrainian universities, when a student studying in joint programs may get two diplomas – a Polish and a Ukrainian one. This will provide additional opportunities for students and deepen cooperation between Ukrainian and Polish universities," Hrynevych told reporters.
