Poll: 56% of Ukrainians support joining EU and 44% support NATO membership

If a referendum on Ukraine's accession to the European Union was held today, 56% of Ukrainians would support accession.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, this is evidenced by the results of the poll conducted by the Razumkov Ukrainian Centre for Economic and Political Studies.

As noted, 56% of respondents would vote “for” joining the EU, 18% would vote “against”, while 26% would not participate in the hypothetical referendum on Ukraine’s accession to the EU or are undecided.

In turn, 44% of Ukrainians would support joining NATO and 26% would oppose it.

In addition, the study showed that the majority of Ukrainian citizens, namely 63% of respondents, do not feel European. Only 29 % of Ukrainians feel themselves European.
